BIRTHRIGHT + a Birthday
As I've said in previous entries, every year I upload a drawing on my birthday to mark some kind of progress and also as a small present to myself. This time it's a bit more special -- months back, over the summer I stumbled across an exceptional piece of writing, entitled Birthright, based on the game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. This fan conceived continuation of the original game is written by Em Dash who not only stays true to the Enslaved universe, but expands and realizes a new set of characters that seamlessly blend into Ninja Theory's established cosmology. Em's narrative never seem to have plot elements and characters haphazardly placed alongside Monkey and Trip, which is why I was compelled to interpret and illustrate the new cast.
This is the first set of two images that I've worked on since August. I hope to have the other up soon, so we'll see how it goes...
